BSc Exercise Science | Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology

Position: Exercise Physiologist

Michelle is a passionate Clinical Exercise Physiologist with five years of experience across diverse clinical and private settings. Her career has afforded her the opportunity to work in both general and specialist environments. Michelle has gained valuable experience in delivering exercise interventions across a broad range of populations — from healthy and athletic individuals to those managing chronic and complex conditions. Her clinical expertise includes exercise intervention with individuals living with cardiac, metabolic, neurological, respiratory, musculoskeletal, oncological and mental health conditions.

Michelle has a particular interest and advanced experience in neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal/sport performance rehabilitation. Michelle hold’s a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Exercise Science, completed in the United States while on a soccer scholarship, and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wollongong. Initially, after her Bachelors, Michelle started as a cardiac technician, but was determined to transition into Clinical EP. After completing her Master’s, Michelle travelled extensively, working for the past two years in Canada as an Exercise Physiologist. Now back in the beautiful Illawarra region — a place Michelle fell in love with during her studies, she is excited to contribute to the health of the local community.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors of Science, majoring in Exercise Science (honours)
  2. Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology
  3. Strength and flexibility intensive course (Range through strength)
  4. NeuroRecovery Training course (provided by the USA)
  5. Disability Care Practical Course
