ABOUT PETER
DPE Exercise and Sports Science (NZ)
Position: Exercise Physiologist
Peter was born is Christchurch New Zealand and attended Otago University.
He initially commenced his career as a secondary teacher and continued to develop his skills in a number fields including tennis coaching, fitness director for the YMCA, strength & conditioning coach at Canterbury University and conducted both hydrotherapy and land based rehabilitation programs.
Peter moved to Australia to set up a purpose built land based and hydrotherapy rehabilitation facility with a number of rehab specialists and physiotherapists.
He has worked in a variety of roles, most recently including private clinics, health & wellness programs at a health retreat and as a Senior Exercise Physiologist in a private rehabilitation hospital, treating a varied case load from orthopaedic and metabolic to neurological, chronic pain and cardio/ respiratory patients.
Peter has also worked in his capacity as a consultant and instructor for:
- Canterbury Commonwealth & Paraplegic Games swimmers & tri-athletes
- Fitness consultant Canterbury Senior Rugby competition
- Senior Tennis Coach Christchurch Indoor Tennis Centre
- Various visiting sporting teams including New Zealand Rugby League, Canterbury Crusaders, South African Cricket team.
- Penrith Panthers NRL team.
